I was referred to Nicola Petrie through my doctor, as they thought I had a possible basal cell on my nose . She advised a biopsy to be taken, in order to establish how to proceed. The biopsy was carried out by Nicola, she spent time explaining the procedure, which was completed very professionally. After the biopsy, there was no bruising, and soreness of which I expected both , the stitches were removed at my doctors, and they made the comment how neatly it had been done. I returned to Nicola clinic to be told it was completely clear and no more treatment was required, I am pleased that the outcome was very good and am grateful that Nicola was so understanding as I had previously had a basal cell which I needed a lot of treatment on. I am very pleased with my treatment I received at Great Western Hospital with Nicola, thank you.

I had thought about having a breast enlargement for years, I had done all of my research as well as having a number of consultations with various clinics and surgeons. For whatever reason I didn't feel comfortable with the people I had met and wasn't confident they could achieve what I wanted. A friend of mine had recently been to The Manor is Oxford and thoroughly recommended I go to see them. What made a difference for me was that before I committed to my consultation I got to choose which surgeon to meet, previously I had never had a choice. Having read about Dr Nicola Petrie I felt she was the surgeon for me. All previous consultations I had elsewhere I initially met with a sales person I rarely met the surgeon, its probably why I didn't ever go through with it. I attended the consultation where I met Dr Petrie, I already had an idea of size, shape and procedure I wanted but I will willing to listen to what her advice would be. Instantly I felt as ease, such a warm nd friendly greeting. During my consultation I was examined she knew exactly what I was trying to achieve. Previous consultations had left me with more insecurities than I had entered with but not Dr Petrie. A lot of my fears and insecurities were nothing to worry about and she pointed out that actually I was very normal but she could tell I wanted a bit more of a profile. Next came the fun bit, playing with the implant sizes and deciding on the profile. After nearly an hour we sat down and she gave me her recommendation and it was exactly what I had been expecting and hoping for, it was great to see that my research had paid off. Dr Petrie left no stone unturned when it came to explaining the procedure and possible complications. I knew most of what she was talking about from my research. I left the consultation feeling very happy indeed and feeling ready to commit to the op. On the day of my op I had no concerns at all, I woke to find myself in my post op bra! I think that was the most surprising thing. I didn't need any pain killers after my operation, I had opted to stay overnight and was very well looked after my all staff in the hospital. In fact it wasn't like a hospital at all, more like a hotel stay. I think the worst bit was the first night having to sleep upright but after that I was absolutely fine. My recovery was very quick, I had the operation on the Thursday, came out of hospital on the Friday and was back at work on the Monday. I'm not saying everyone recovery time is going to the be the same but I was more scared about the recovery than the op. The stitches were so neat and tidy and I didn't have any huge dressings or anything like that. Since my op I have been back three times to see how everything is going and my last appointment I was discharged from. Its been 6 months since my operation and my scars have already faded to be white and they are so small under my breast you can't tell I have had an enlargement. My breasts look so natural and i'm not in proportion. I'm extremely happy with everything Dr Petrie and The Manor have done for me and I would definitely go back to them should I decide on any future surgeries.

Even though it was great to finally book an appointment with a surgeon. I felt nervous going into my first appointment. A breast reduction, is surgery after all & personally I have never been in hospital for anything other than being born; so an operation seemed really daunting. The moment I met my surgeon, Nicola, I had complete confidence in her. Nicola explained every step of the process & really broke it down in laymens terms; I came away understanding what the operation intailed. The first thing I was looking for in my suregon, was steady hands, experienced & somebody, who was confident in their abilities . Nicky combines all of these quailties along with her naturally, upbeat sunny personailty. when I had further questions to ask before my surgery. Nicola was so accomadting & quickly arranged another appointment to chat; it really helped & totally confirmed that I had picked the wright surgeon. The day of my operation arrived. To be honest I mostly felt excited, but naturally was feeling; anxious, nervous about having surgery & anthestic. Once Nicola arrived; being in such capable, confident company, really put me at ease. Plus the Anaesthetist seemed very capable & was laugh out loud funny. I really did not feel in any pain from the surgery; only nauseous from the anthestic & slight, very minor discomfort from the drains and catherata. After I had come around from the operation. I felt instantly more comfortable with smaller breast & only woke up through the night to due to feeling sick form ansethitic. I went into hospital at 12pm on Thursday 26th April and was discharged at 1pm Friday 27th April; by 2pm was taking a walk around my village. I am so Happy with the result and continue to be happier every day. My 2wk appointment went great & after my 6wk appointment, I went for a run with my dog, went cycling & 3mths later went back kickboxing, grappling. I loved the shape of my smaller breasts straight away & continue to be happier with each passing day. I continue to become stronger each day & have made a list below of all the ways this operation has improved my life Running - I no longer have to wear a wired bra with sports cropped top. This was the only way running did not hurt my breasts. Walking - I am a fast walker, stride every where with purpose, before I would feel uncomfortable No longer have to use talcum powder under my breast, as I would sweat a lot All tops, jackets and of course bra's fit so much better No longer feel self conscious when leaning ove a table I can wear low cut tops in the summer, without feeling busty, which means I am more confident. I now stand up much straighter & any neck strain has gone Instant weight loss after surgery The simple task of bending over to pick something up no longer feels like a chore Driving, sitting at my desk much less strain My partener has noticed a massive difference in my whole attitude, towards most things. I'm naturally a very activie person. My physical hobbies include, kickboxing, boxing grappling, indoor climbing, running cycling, paddle boarding. Now I feel that I can really throw myself into these fully. Quite simply, you just feel instantly confident in Nicola's abilties. Plus you feel that she geniually cares about her patients. I am so fortunate that Nicola was my surgeon. I would, with out a moments hesitation, highly recommend her to anybody wanting surgery. Infact I would wholeheartedly encourage people to pick Nicola as their surgeon.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I feel so lucky to have gone through my treatment with Nicola - the care, knowledge and attention from start to finish have been outstanding. At consultation, Nicola fully explained the treatment plan and recovery which made me feel at ease and confident. Throughout the process, her team were excellent, both via email to coordinate appointments and to answer questions, and also on the day when her theatre staff again made me feel completely comfortable. I have had regular follow ups and Nicola was always at the end of the phone or email if I needed to ask any questions. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nicola to anyone and will certainly use her services again if needed. Thank you so much to Nicola and the team, you have been brilliant and have made a huge difference to my life!

Niki gave me complete confidence to go ahead with my elected procedure and was very honest about what could and couldn't be achieved. Everything was explained in detail and in language I could understand. Her whole Team was professional and hugely caring in their approach and I always felt as though I was in good hands. The aftercare has also been very supportive and I always felt as though I could make contact with any concerns I may have had. I would totally recommend Niki to others.
